Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin handed over a grant of ₹26.50 crore to the Foundries Development Foundation (FDF) and laid the foundation stone for establishing an exclusive Centre of Excellence for Foundry Skill and Casting Development at the CODISSIA Industrial Park in Moperipalayam, Karumathampatti, Coimbatore.

The grant was presented to the heads of the foundation during the TN Rising Investors’ Meeting held at Hotel Le Méridien on 25th November 2025.

The upcoming Centre of Excellence is one of India’s major hubs for casting and foundry skill development, and generates 1000 jobs.
