The Regional Passport Office (RPO), Coimbatore, has launched the Mobile Passport Seva Van to extend passport services to remote areas and educational institutions.
Applicants have been advised to apply for passport-related services only through the official website, passportindia.gov.in, and to avoid travel agents or touts for any passport-related assistance.
For clarifications or information related to passport services, applicants may visit the Regional Passport Office, Coimbatore, in person between 9.30 a.m. and 12.30 p.m. on all working days, except Wednesdays.

The Regional Passport Office, Coimbatore, covers six districts and seven Lok Sabha constituencies, with one Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) located in Coimbatore and six Post Office Passport Seva Kendras (POPSKs) functioning at Salem, Rasipuram, Coonoor, Tiruppur, Erode, and Pollachi.
During the calendar year 2025, the office issued 1,82,090 passports and related services, the highest number since its inception. In comparison, 1.79 lakh passports and related services were issued in 2024.
