As part of the nationwide initiative “Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath” (One Hour, One Day, Together) under the Swachhata Hi Seva (Cleanliness is Service) campaign, the Income Tax Office, Coimbatore, organised a Shramdaan, a public cleaning initiative, on 25 September 2025 at Scheme Road, Race Course Road, Coimbatore.
The cleanliness drive took place in the presence of Arun Bharat, Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Coimbatore, and Diwakar Prasad, Principal Commissioner of Income Tax, Coimbatore.
Officers and officials of the department actively participated in the drive, which was organised in coordination with the Race Course and Neighbourhood Association (RANA), Coimbatore Vizha, and RAAC Alagana Kovai. Students from Government Arts College, Coimbatore, and Hindustan College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore.
All the garbage collected during the drive was disposed of with the assistance of the Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation.
