The Institution of Engineers (India), Coimbatore Local Centre, which has been operating for the past 60 years from PSG College of Technology campus, has been adjudged recently as “The Best IEI Local Centre”
The recognition was given among over 90 IEI local centres across India.
The award was received by Krishnamoorthi, Chairman, IEI Coimbatore Local Centre and Professor & Head, Department of Metallurgical Engineering, PSG College of Technology, during the 39th Indian Engineering Congress held in Kolkata, recently.
The award was presented by the event chief guest Aroop Biswas, Minister-in-Charge of Power, Youth Services & Sports, Government of West Bengal in the presence of Ranganath, National President, IEI.
The IEI Coimbatore Local Centre organizes a wide range of programs, including seminars, workshops, conferences, and regular guest lectures under various engineering divisions, all aimed at benefiting its corporate members and engineering students.
The award was conferred by the IEI headquarters in recognition of the Centre’s exceptional all-around performance, based on the activities and programmes organized in collaboration with PSG College of Technology and other institutions during the year 2023-2024.
