Indian Society for Training & Development (ISTD) Coimbatore Chapter was inaugurated recently. This marked a significant milestone in strengthening professional development initiatives in the region.

The chapter was officially inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Venkataramana, Strategic Advisor at Ramraj Cotton.

In his address, he emphasised the need for continuous skill enhancement and industry-oriented learning to empower professionals and organisations alike.

The formal launch ceremony was attended by eminent dignitaries and industry leaders, reflecting the growing importance of structured training and development in today’s competitive landscape

Karthikeyan, Former National President of ISTD, elaborated on the vision and mission of the organisation, underscoring the importance of active and vibrant local chapters in conducting impactful programs that contribute meaningfully to society.

Rajalakshmi, Chairman of Chennai Chapter, felicitated the Chief Guest and delegates, highlighting the collaborative spirit among the chapters.

Atul Sharma, National Vice President, commended the proactive initiatives undertaken by the South Region chapters, while Nabaghana Pany, National Treasurer, stressed the strategic significance of establishing a chapter in Coimbatore, a city known for its industrial and educational prominence.

During the event, Karthikeyan also introduced Mohan Ramakrishnan as the Chairman of the Coimbatore Chapter.

The newly formed chapter is expected to serve as a platform for networking, professional skill development, and enhanced industry–academia collaboration within the city.

The ceremony concluded with a strong message reaffirming ISTD’s commitment to promoting continuous learning and professional excellence in Coimbatore.
