MAK Controls, a Coimbatore-based company, has received Directorate General of Aeronautical Quality Assurance (DGAQA) self-certification approval, recently.
The company has been excelling for 50 years in manufacturing high-tech machines and equipment needed for aviation and the Indian defence sector.
This company, which manufactures machines for Akash, BrahMos, MRSAM, LRSAM, QRSAM, Tejas aircraft, Arjun tank, and several radar and missile systems,
The certification has been awarded by Sanjay Chawla, Director General of Aeronautical Quality Assurance to Saravanan Manickam, MAK’s Managing Director.
The event was attended by Mahesh Kalshat, Director of DGAQA; Shanmugasundaram, Executive Vice President of the company; Thillai Senthil Prabu, Vice President, and Sridhar Babu, Deputy General Manager
Speaking at the event, Sanjay Chawla stated that this is the first time such self-certification approval is being granted to private companies manufacturing such machines in India.
According to Chawla “the company is one of its reputed partners in military aviation that supplies critical components or defence equipment. Our team from Delhi and Trichy conducted the audit on every shop floor. The quality management system met our requirements. The quality control personnel and inspectors at the shop floor in Mak Control will carry out inspection activities. This is like self-certification.”
Additionally, during the event, Sanjay Chawla inaugurated MAK’s new Railway Equipment Manufacturing Facility.
