CMS College of Science and Commerce conducted its Induction Programme for first-year students of the new academic year on 25th June 2025.
Sarathi, Founder-Chairperson of the Coimbatore Human Rights Forum (CHRF), was the Chief Guest. In his address, he emphasised the blessings of life, particularly highlighting the importance of self-love and encouraging students to love their families and neighbours.
The ceremony was inaugurated with the lighting of the kuthuvilakku by the distinguished office bearers of the CMS Educational and Charitable Trust: Gereesan, Chairman; Sajiesh Kumar, Vice Chairman; Chandrakumar, Secretary; Sashidharan, Joint Secretary; and Vijayakumar, Treasurer, along with other dignitaries.
In his presidential address, Chairman Gereesan welcomed and congratulated the new students on becoming part of the CMS family. Sandhya Menon, Chief Executive Officer, offered her felicitations to the gathering.
Senior students shared their campus life experiences with the newly admitted students.
Earlier, Salini, Vice Principal – Academics, welcomed the gathering. Balachander, Controller of Examinations (COE), and the Principals of the Sister Institutions also graced the occasion with their presence.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ravichandran, Professor of Commerce.
