The Confederation of Indian Industry’s Centre of Excellence on Employment and Livelihood (CII CEL), along with CODISSIA, Coimbatore, organised the 2-day Business Workshop for Entrepreneurs on 16 & 17 July 2025 at CODISSIA Complex
The workshop aimed to support the growth and scaling up of existing businesses.
At the inaugural session, Karthikeyan, President, CODISSIA & Managing Director, Sukshma Dynamics, delivered the welcome address, providing an insightful overview of the micro entrepreneurship ecosystem in Coimbatore.
Mani Narayanan, Convenor, Manufacturing Panel, CII Coimbatore Zone & Managing Director, Messer Cutting Systems India, in his special address, emphasised financial freedom as a foundation for sustainable entrepreneurial success and addressed the broader issues that support MSMEs’ growth.
Delivering the Keynote address, Ramesh, Forum Chair, CII Coimbatore Entrepreneur Development Forum & Past Chairman, CII Coimbatore Zone & Managing Director, Alphacraft shared insights from his journey. He highlighted that the future of entrepreneurship lies in being future ready, invest in simple automation, prioritizing people and developing a strong sense of self awareness.

Madan Mohan, Co-Convenor, Finance & Economic Affairs Panel & Chief Financial Officer, JS Auto Cast Foundry (I)in his special address, stated Coimbatore hosts 3,23,277 MSMEs (as of August 5, 2024), the second most in Tamil Nadu after Chennai, and there’s a strong representation of women-led micro enterprises in Coimbatore.
He urged the participants to join the Entrepreneurs Development Forum in Coimbatore, emphasizing the opportunity to leverage the CII network to grow and strengthen their businesses.
The workshop saw active participation from senior management and entrepreneurs representing 52 companies from Coimbatore in the manufacturing and service sector.
