The Department of Visual Communication, School of Fashion Design, Media and Performing Arts, Rathinam Global Deemed to be University (RGU), Coimbatore, successfully organised a two-day Fashion Photography Workshop recently featuring Prasanna Venkatesh, Certified Master Trainer and Celebrity Photographer, as the resource person.
The workshop provided students with valuable exposure to contemporary fashion photography practices, the latest lighting technologies, and professional photographic techniques. The sessions covered advanced lighting techniques, fashion photography, light painting, model photography, and professional approaches to image-making.
A key highlight of the programme was the hands-on practical training, which enabled students to apply their theoretical knowledge in real-world photography situations. Through practical demonstrations and guided shooting sessions, students gained experience in lighting setup, light control, model positioning, composition, and the effective use of photographic equipment to achieve professional-quality images.
Gayathri, Assistant Professor, Department of Visual Communication, coordinated the workshop along with Divya, Krupa, Jomon, Kailash,Vishal, Athreya under the guidance of Raju, Associate Dean and Head, Department of Visual Communication, Rajalakshmi, Director – RAALE and Dean, School of Fashion Design, Media and Performing Arts.
