Amrita Vidyalayam, Tiruppur, hosted ‘Nila Soru’, a heartwarming event dedicated to honouring grandparents and celebrating intergenerational bonding on 4th September 2025.
The program commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the Chitra, Principal. This was followed by a vibrant dance performance by the students, warmly welcoming King Mahabali as part of the Onam festivities.
A key highlight of the event was the active participation of grandparents, who showcased their talents through coconut leaf crafts, traditional dances, and songs. They also joined in a series of fun-filled games, such as collecting balls and decorating their hair with straws, adding laughter and joy to the atmosphere.
The grand finale was a touching moment, where grandparents lovingly fed their grandchildren under the full moon, creating unforgettable memories for all. To promote sustainability and care for the environment, vegetable saplings were distributed to all the children at the end of the event.
