Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) unveiled the new Horlicks with a blend of Superfoods and proprietary NutriMax technology that helps in better nutrient absorption and enhances nutritional benefits.
The all-new Horlicks is formulated with a blend of superfoods, malted barley, millets, oats, and almonds, ingredients known for their rich nutrient profiles and ability to support everyday nutrition.
This upgrade retains the classic taste loved by generations while introducing advanced science to enhance its nutritional impact.
At the heart of this innovation is HUL’s proprietary NutriMax technology. This specialised process helps unlock multigrain goodness by reducing natural anti-nutrients like phytates, which hinder the absorption of nutrients like Iron and zinc.
By improving ingredient processing, NutriMax increases both soluble and insoluble fiber, supporting better gut health and maximising the body’s ability to absorb essential minerals.
Horlicks Superfoods delivers wholesome nutrition with soluble dietary fiber, antioxidants, essential micronutrients, and protein that help support immunity.
Clinically shown to reduce sick days by up to 30%, it is also proven to promote taller growth, stronger bones, and cognitive ability in children.
The new Horlicks is also available in a Zero Added Sugar variant with the same great taste. This uses Smart Sweetness technology to naturally enhance sweetness perception from malted barley, ensuring a pleasant taste without added sugar or artificial sweeteners.
Rajneet Kohli, Executive Director of Foods and Refreshment, Hindustan Unilever, said, “Modern lifestyles marked by busy schedules and changing food habits have widened the gap between what people need nutritionally and what they actually consume.
In line with the changing needs of today’s consumers, we have launched the new Horlicks, making it more purposeful, nutrition-forward and backed by science. This marks a significant step in our journey to transform trusted brands for a new era of everyday nourishment.”
The event in Chennai brought together popular television star Alya Manasa, celebrated presenter Archana Chandhoke, renowned nutritionists Dr. Dharini Krishnan, Sheryl Salis, Executive Director of Foods and Refreshment Rajneet Kohli, and Head of R&D Foods and Beverages, and Dr. Sujatha Jayaraman from HUL.
More than 50 influencers and content creators from Tamil Nadu and Kerala attended, alongside media guests, and experienced a series of Interactive zones that showcased the science behind Horlicks and Horlicks-based preparations, including Horlicks Ice Cream, Horlicks Barfi, Filter Coffee Horlicks Cold Brew, Kulukki Shake and Horlicks Mysore Pak.
Guests also engaged with health and nutrition experts during an insightful panel discussion. Horlicks now with Superfoods is available in various pack sizes in Classic Malt flavour across retail stores & online platforms in TN and Kerala.
