The National Service Scheme (NSS) Cell of Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women organised an Anti-Drug Awareness Rally on 12th December 2024.

The event brought together students, teachers, local leaders, and community members in a unified stand against the growing menace of drug abuse.

The rally aimed to raise awareness about the dangers of drug addiction, and its effects on individuals and families, and to promote healthier, drug-free lifestyles.

The rally commenced at the Institute and ended at Saibaba Colony, the awareness rally involved 500 NSS volunteers carrying banners and placards that displayed impactful messages such as “Say No to Drugs,” “Choose Health, Not Harm,” and “Drug-Free is the Way to Be.”

The participants marched through the streets, chanting slogans to spread their message far and wide. The procession was not only a demonstration of solidarity but also an educational outreach to everyone in the community.
