Nehru Arts and Science College (Autonomous), in association with L&T EduTech, recently hosted the Academic Excellence Conclave 2024 on its campus.
The event aimed to bridge the gap between academia and industry while fostering innovation and future-ready talent.
The conclave commenced with a welcome address from Sivaraja, Principal, Nehru Institute of Technology. Anirudhan, Principal of Nehru Arts and Science College, in his opening remarks, underscored the significance of industry collaboration in achieving academic excellence.
In his Presidential Address, Krishnakumar, CEO & Secretary of the Nehru Group of Institutions, shared his vision of leveraging partnerships to enhance educational outcomes.
Nagaraja, Executive Director of the institutions, in his thought-provoking inaugural address, motivated young minds toward innovation and excellence.
The Keynote Address by Anbuthambi, Head of Strategy at L&T Edutech, emphasised the importance of equipping students with skills for the future.
The highlight of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Nehru Arts and Science College and L&T EduTech. The MoU seeks to foster innovation, bridge the skills gap, and nurture industry-ready talent.
The event featured a Panel Discussion on “Fostering Academic Excellence with Industry Collaboration.” Esteemed panellists included at the event were, Sriram, Location Head, L&T Precision Engineering and Systems; Anitha Jayapal, Head HR, L&T EduTech; Gowtham Kalyan, Manager-HRBP, L&T Financial Services; Sridevi Thiagarajan, Senior Director-Data and Analytics, LTIMindtree and Chhaya Balasubramanian, Plant HR Head, Alstom
The panellists shared diverse perspectives and actionable insights on aligning academic initiatives with industry demands. Their discussions highlighted the need for multidisciplinary learning, digital transformation in education, and nurturing future-ready skills.
