The Department of Civil Engineering, Dr. N.G.P. Institute of Technology (NGPiTech) in collaboration with the Institution of Engineers (India), Coimbatore Local Centre, organized a one-day seminar on the theme ‘Utilization of E-waste as Alternative Construction Materials’ recently.

The event was organized under the Environmental Engineering Division Board of the IEI, aiming to address critical environmental challenges while promoting sustainable construction practices.

The seminar was inaugurated by the resource person Er Prasanth Omanakuttan, Founder and CEO, Green Era Recycler, Coimbatore, Madhan Mohan, Honorary Secretary, IEI, Coimbatore presided over the event.

Prabha, Principal of the institute delivered the felicitation address. Murali, Professor and Head – Department of Civil Engineering shared about the seminar to the gathering.

Murali, and Akil, Professor in Civil Engineering, Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology share their expertise and insights on the topics E-Waste: Threat to Society, E-Waste – An Alternative Building Material and E-Waste in the Built Environment: Opportunities and Challenges in Sustainable Construction.

This seminar was designed for civil engineering students, professionals, researchers, and anyone interested in the intersection of environmental engineering and sustainable construction practices around 165 participants benefited from this seminar. Students from various institutions presented their research work.
