Dr. SNS Rajalakshmi College of Arts and Science (Autonomous), hosted a six-day ATAL Faculty Development Program, sponsored by, AICTE Training & Learning (ATAL) Academy, recently.
The program focused on “Integrating Data Analytics, Mathematics, and Statistics for Decision Making.
In the inaugural address, the College Principal, Anitha, highlighted the college’s achievements and outlined the significance of the ATAL Faculty Development Program.
The Chairman, S.N. Subbramanian, along with other esteemed guests including S. Nalin Vimal Kumar, a native design thinker, and M. Daniel, CEO of SNS Institutions, shared their insights and facilitated discussions. G. Gnanasekaran, an educational expert, also participated in the event.
The first day’s sessions were chaired by Nagaraj, Managing Director and Founder of True Line Research Private Limited, Salem delivered, an engaging presentation, on the Scope of Data Analytics with Mathematical Applications and concluded with a hands-on training session.
The second day’s forenoon session was held by Muthuvel Ramesh, a Machine Learning Developer from Novie Tech Pvt. Ltd., Coimbatore. He presented on the topic of “Classification and Clustering Models” and discussed an article on “Exploratory Data Analysis using Python.”
The afternoon session was led by Gnanasekaran, the Special Educational Expert of the college. His topic focused on “Implementation of Natural Language Processing in Higher Educational Institutions in India.”
The third day’s forenoon session was held by Janagaran Varadharaj, Founder & CEO, Poultry Care, Namakkal. He presented on the topic of Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA). The afternoon session was led by Rushi Kumar, Professor from Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore. His topic focused on “Data Analysis using R Programming”
The fourth day’s forenoon session was handled by Palanisamy, Associate Professor, Department of Mathematics, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore. He presented on the topic of “Statistical Prediction for Data Analysis” The afternoon session was held by Ragu Kumar, Assistant Professor from Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore. His topic focused on “Optimization Techniques in Data Analysis”
The day concluded with a hands-on training session led by Sivaranjani, Academic Coordinator, Department of Graphic Computer Design.
The fifth day’s forenoon session included an industrial visit to AIC RAISE at Rathinam Techno Park, Eachanari. The afternoon session was led by Uma Maheswari, Research Coordinator of the College. Her topic focused on “Design Thinking”
The sixth day’s forenoon session was held by, Jegatheesan Thangavel, Technical Product Manager, Tier I- Athletic Footwear & Apparel Manufacturer in IT sectors, Bangalore. He presented on the topic of “Applications of Data Analysis in the IT Sector.
In the afternoon, an assessment was conducted, featuring a multiple-choice questionnaire (MCQ) to evaluate participants’ understanding of the material covered throughout the program.
