The Socio-Economically Disadvantaged Groups (SEDGs)/EOC Cell, SC/ST Cell and OBC Cell of Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women organised a two-day Future-Ready Personality Development Programme on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The programme was organised to equip students with confidence, effective communication skills, leadership qualities, interpersonal skills and a positive attitude to face future academic, professional and personal challenges.

How to develop our personality?

Jerinabi, Advisor, IQAC, delivered the Presidential Address during the inaugural session. She emphasised that personality development goes beyond academic knowledge and is reflected through communication, behaviour, presentation and interaction with others.

She highlighted the importance of positive thinking, character building, self-awareness and goal-oriented living. She also explained the seven pillars of personal development—knowledge, positive empowerment, personal empowerment, personal analysis, habits, behaviour, personal objectives and encouraged students to cultivate good character and work with determination towards their goals.

Around 115 first-year undergraduate students belonging to the OBC, SC and ST categories actively participated in the programme.

Sudha, Learning and Behavioural Specialist and SOI Practitioner, served as a resource person gave an overview of the event. Asvitha, Vibe Architect and Soft Skill Trainer, gave an insight on reflect on their learning and apply it to their personal development.

The programme served as a meaningful platform for students to develop essential personality and life skills and encourage them to apply these qualities in their academic, personal and future professional lives.

Earlier, Gayathri Devi, Liaison Officer, SC/ST Cell welcomed the gathering and Saratha, Coordinator, SEDGs Cell, Liaison Officer, OBC Cell greeted the audience.
