On the occasion of World Heart Day 2026, the Department of Cardiac Technology, Hindusthan College of Health Science (HICHS), in association with Hindusthan Hospital, organised an E-Symposium and Heart Exhibition.

The event was presided over by Arunkumar, Principal of the college. The E-Symposium featured two expert sessions. The first session, titled “Tachycardia and Bradycardia in the Emergency Room – ECG Challenge,” was delivered by Dr. Jyothi Samanth, Associate Professor, Department of Cardiovascular Technology, Manipal College of Health Professions, MAHE, Manipal.

The second session, titled “Chest Pain + ECG: What Should We Recognise First?”, was delivered by Dhanalakshmi, Assistant Professor, School of Allied and Healthcare Professions, RV University, Bengaluru.

Along with the symposium, a Heart Exhibition was organised, showcasing models of normal and diseased hearts, ECG tracings, and informative charts on preventive cardiology. The exhibition aimed to create awareness among students about heart-healthy lifestyles and the importance of early detection of cardiac diseases.

More than 200 students and faculty members participated in the programme and benefited from the sessions and exhibition.
