The PG & Research Department of Chemistry, Nirmala College for Women, hosted CHEMORA 2026 – National Conference on “Chemistry Beyond Boundaries: Research, Innovation & Emerging Frontiers” on Friday.
The conference brought together vibrant academic perspectives, contemporary research insights and emerging possibilities across the diverse landscape of chemistry.
With a vision to connect knowledge with innovation and research with impact, CHEMORA 2026 provided an enriching platform for students, research scholars and faculty members to explore cutting-edge developments, exchange ideas and discover new avenues for scientific advancement.
The conference featured two distinguished experts who brought diverse and inspiring dimensions to the scientific discourse. Samuelson, Emeritus Professor, IPC Department, Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, delivered an insightful lecture on “An Organometallic Chemist’s Approach to Anti-Cancer Drugs,” offering perspectives on the role of organometallic chemistry in advancing anti-cancer therapeutic research.
Adding another significant dimension to the conference, Hephziba Magie Jessima, Associate Professor, Department of Chemistry, Christ University, Bengaluru, delivered an engaging session on “From Ideas to Impact: Exploring Government Funding for Academic Events.” The session highlighted opportunities, pathways and strategic approaches for accessing government funding for academic events and research-driven initiatives.
Kulandai Therese, Secretary, and Mary Fabiola, Principal, extended their valuable guidance and encouragement for the conference. Their keen involvement and commitment to academic excellence provided strong impetus to the successful conduct of CHEMORA 2026, inspiring the organisers and participants towards meaningful scholarly engagement, research and innovation.
