UYIR, an NGO working in the field of road safety signed a MoU with VLB Janakiammal College of Arts and Science, to undertake joint initiatives aimed at reducing road accidents in Coimbatore, recently. Balasundaram, Trustee and Treasurer, UYIR and Kumar, Principal, VLB Janakiammal College of Arts and Science signed the MoU.
A road safety awareness session was also held for the students of the institution, in which the role of educational institutions in shaping safer communities was emphasized by the speakers. Students were encouraged to actively participate in awareness campaigns.
A press release from Uyir mentioned that the students and faculty members had expressed their commitment to becoming ambassadors of road safety, ensuring the message resonates beyond the campus.
