Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Ajjanur, recently celebrated its Annual Three-Day Music Festival 2026 on the school premises. 
The festival served as a vibrant cultural confluence, promoting Indian classical music and providing an enriching platform for budding student talents and eminent vidwans.
Reflecting the guiding motto, “Art is the most wonderful gift of God,” the three-day celebration enthralled the audience with soulful Carnatic vocal and instrumental concerts.
The festival commenced with a devotional invocation by the school’s students.
The traditional Kuthu Vilakku was lit by Nagasubramanian, President, Bhavan’s Coimbatore Kendra; Alagirisamy, Secretary and Correspondent; Surya Narayanan, Joint Secretary; Chief Guest Sowmya Venkatesh, Chief Programme Coordinator, All India Radio; and Principal Maheswari.
Alagirisamy delivered the welcome address, while Nagasubramanian, in his address, highlighted that art is the true expression of unified consciousness.
Sowmya Venkatesh inspired the gathering with her talk on “The Grandeur of Classical Music and Bhavan’s Cultural Mission.”
The inaugural concert featured Poornima Aravind on vocals, accompanied by Brinda Ragunath on the violin and Ragunath on the mridangam.
The second evening was presided over by Surya Narayanan, Raveendran, Treasurer, and Principal Maheswari.
Aparna Gopalakrishnan enthralled the gathering with her classical vocal renditions, ably supported by Kailasapathy on the violin and Rajagopal Ramamoorthy on the mridangam.
The final day commenced with a soulful bhajan performance by the students of Bhavan’s. Prizes were awarded to the young performers in recognition of their exceptional talent.
Esteemed artists Rohith, Haritha Narayanan and Ranjani Radha presented an enchanting Carnatic concert marked by melodic mastery and rhythmic brilliance.
Nagasubramanian, Alagirisamy, Surya Narayanan, Raveendran, Maheswari, the CBSE Principal, faculty members and rasikas graced the grand culmination of the festival.
