With a passion for shooting and a keen interest in the sport, Prashanth Chandran, Managing Director of Precot Meridian, Coimbatore, has made a comeback to competitive shooting by participating in state-level championship events.

His return highlights his continued enthusiasm for the sport and his dedication to honing his skills, while also encouraging a sporting spirit within his family.

An avid shooter with extensive knowledge of sporting weapons, Chandran participated in the 52nd Tamil Nadu State Championship Shotgun 2026 in the Double Trap and Trap Shooting events in both individual and team categories.

His accumulated points are expected to qualify him for the upcoming XVII South Zone Shooting Championship Competitions 2026 in Shotgun (NR), to be held in Pudukkottai.

Chandran is comfortable and proficient in handling sporting firearms and continues to pursue shooting with enthusiasm.

His wife, Natasha Chandran, is also a sports enthusiast and is currently undergoing shooting training at the Coimbatore Rifle Club. She is expected to participate in upcoming shooting events once her weapon licence is processed.

Adding to the family’s sporting interest, Chandran said that his 12-year-old elder daughter will also undergo training at the Coimbatore Rifle Club with the aim of becoming a skeet shooter.
