Following the restoration of Pudhukadu Anicut and Kil Chithirai Chavadi Anicut, the initiative is expected to further strengthen the Noyyal’s traditional water-management system.

The project will improve water retention, groundwater recharge, agricultural productivity and water quality, directly benefiting 509 ayacut acres. It will also address sewage flow in the feeder channel leading to Kurichi Tank, helping ensure that cleaner water reaches the tank.
