The Student Development Cell of Dr. NGP Institute of Technology (NGPiTECH) celebrated the Student Council Investiture Ceremony, the inauguration of student clubs, and the YI-YUVA Chapter on Monday.
The event was graced by the Chief Guests, Arunkumar Visweswaran, Founder and CEO of Brand Monk Group, Coimbatore, and Vishnu, Director – GCC Strategy and Operations, Collabera, and Chairperson of the YI-YUVA Coimbatore Chapter.
The programme commenced with an overview of the event by Deepak Dakshin, Joint Secretary of the Student Council, who highlighted the purpose and significance of the Investiture Ceremony. Nandita, Vice President of the Student Council, delivered the welcome address.
Mathura V. Palaniswami, Trustee, Dr. NGP Research and Educational Trust, delivered the presidential address, emphasising the importance of student leadership and the role of the newly appointed council members. She encouraged students to actively participate in shaping the future of the institution.
Prabha, Principal of the college, delivered the felicitation address, appreciating the contributions of the outgoing council members and extending her best wishes to the newly elected members.
Student Council President Lakshitha administered the oath to the newly elected Student Council members. This was followed by the YI-YUVA inauguration note delivered by Devagi, Chair of the YI-YUVA Club, who outlined the club’s vision, objectives, and the opportunities it offers for leadership and personal development.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guests, Arunkumar Visweswaran and Vishnu, inspired students, highlighting the potential of student initiatives to empower young minds, nurture leadership qualities, and foster their holistic growth.
They encouraged students to take up responsibilities with dedication, uphold the values of the institution, and contribute positively to the campus community.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Kiruthicraj, Secretary of the Student Council.
The Student Council Investiture Ceremony, along with the inauguration of the student clubs and the YI-YUVA Chapter, provided a platform to recognise student leadership, encourage active participation, and launch initiatives aimed at empowering the youth.
