PSG Hospitals proudly inaugurated PSG Fertility 360°, Coimbatore’s First Comprehensive Fertility Centre, bringing together advanced Andrology, IVF, Reproductive Medicine, Male Fertility, Female Fertility, Embryology, Fertility Preservation, Counselling, and Comprehensive Infertility Care under one roof.
The centre has been established with the vision of providing holistic, evidence-based fertility care for both men and women, ensuring seamless diagnosis, treatment, counselling, and follow-up through a multidisciplinary team of specialists.
The inaugural function was held at the B Block Auditorium, PSG Hospitals, in the presence of distinguished guests, medical professionals, faculty members, students, and members of the public.
The program commenced with the traditional prayer and lamp lighting ceremony, followed by the welcome address by Dr. J. S. Bhuvaneswaran, Director, PSG Super Specialty Hospitals.
The audience was introduced to PSG Fertility 360° by Dr. Krishnamohan, Urologist & Andrologist, and Dr. Athilakshmi, IVF Consultant, who highlighted the centre’s comprehensive approach to fertility care.
They explained that the centre offers advanced evaluation and treatment for both male and female infertility, including fertility preservation, assisted reproductive technologies, and personalised treatment plans tailored to each couple.
The event was presided over by Dr. K. Banumathi, Director, PSG Vishnugranthi. Dr. R. Jeyadeepa, Principal, PSG College of Nursing, and Dr. Anuradha M.D., Nursing Superintendent offered felicitations. Dr. S. Vishranthi, Endo Gynaecologist, proposed Vote of Thanks.
A key highlight of the program was a special public debate session on the theme – Late Parenthood – is it a personal choice or a compulsion of time. Popular Tamil Scholar Santhamani judged the debate that had participation from various orators.
The debate witnessed active participation from healthcare professionals and the public, generating meaningful discussions on changing lifestyles, delayed parenthood, stress, nutrition, environmental factors, and the importance of early fertility evaluation.
The experts emphasised that infertility affects both men and women equally, making early assessment of both partners essential. They also highlighted the growing incidence of male infertility and the vital role of specialised Andrology services in fertility management.
