The Institute of Indian Foundrymen – Coimbatore Chapter extended its wishes to the new Government of Tamil Nadu formed under the leadership of C. Joseph Vijay.
K. Velusamy, Chairman of The Institute of Indian Foundrymen – Coimbatore Chapter, in a press released highlighted the pivotal role that foundries in Coimbatore play in the manufacturing sector.
He briefed that foundries contribute to the performance of automotive, consumer durables, power & energy, oil & gas, construction machinery, pumps, motors & agricultural machinery, machine tools & allied industries. “About 35% of Tamil Nadu GDP is reliant on Foundry Sector,” he stated.
He further underlined that The Institute of Indian Foundrymen – Coimbatore Chapter look forward to working closely with the Government for overall development of the State, support to MSME foundries, skill development, strengthening metal casting and allied manufacturing sectors.
He also appealed to the new government to introduce plans that focus on Industrial Growth, Development of MSMEs and Employment Generation through appropriate Reforms and Policy Interventions.
“Such stewardship shall continue to ensure that Tamil Nadu remains a Top Manufacturing Hub,” he said.
