SUEZ India, an entity known for providing reliable water solutions organized a free health camp for migrant workers and Staffs at project office premises in Coimbatore recently.
The camp was arranged in collaboration with Native Medicare Charitable Trust (NMCT), Vasan Eye Care, and the Tamil Nadu State AIDS Control Society. The health camp offered general health check-ups, eye examinations, and free blood testing, including SIT (Sexually Transmitted Infections) screening.
In addition, free medicines were provided to all participants following their health assessments. In addition, Tamil Nadu State AIDS Control Society offered valuable information about HIV prevention, safe practices, and support services available to those in need.
“Over 100 workers across the locality benefited from comprehensive general health check-ups, eye screenings, free blood tests, and STI testing, alongside AIDS awareness sessions and free medicine distribution,” a press release from Suez stated.
Speaking at the event, Sangram Pattanayak, Project Director, SUEZ – 24×7 Water Supply Project, Coimbatore explained the core reason behind the initiative. “Our workers do tough jobs under difficult conditions, and their health is our absolute priority. This camp is our direct way of making sure they get the medical attention and awareness they actually deserve. I am very thankful to all our medical partners who stepped in to help us make this happen,”
