Hindusthan College of Arts and Science recently celebrated its College Day with great enthusiasm. Ponnusamy, Principal of the college, presented the annual report, highlighting the institution’s achievements over the past year.
Saraswathi Kannaiyan, Managing Trustee of the college, delivered the felicitation address. On the occasion, students who secured first rank at the Bharathiar University level across various disciplines were honoured.
In addition, students who secured first, second, and third ranks at the college level were awarded certificates, cash prizes, and medals. Their parents were also felicitated in recognition of their support.
As part of an initiative by the Tamil Department Reading Forum, several student-authored books were released. These included Karaiyaadha Kaadhal by Subramani (M.Com CA), Uraikkaadha Vaarthaigal by Keerthana (M.Sc Costume Design & Fashion), Kavithaigalum Kirukkalgalum by Meenakshi (B.Com III Year), and Vaidegi Kavithaigal by Vaidegi (B.Sc III Year).
The books were jointly released by Saraswathi Kannaiyan and Priya Sathish Prabhu, Secretary of the college, in the presence of Ponnusamy, Gayathri, Head of the Tamil Department, and Aruvi Thenmozhi, Reading Forum Coordinator. Students and their parents received the first copies.
The event also featured vibrant cultural performances by students and was attended by Heads of Departments, faculty members, parents, and students.
