PSGR Krishnammal College for Women celebrated College Day on Wednesday at the college’s Alumni Golden Jubilee Auditorium.
R. Nandini, Chairperson of the college, delivered the welcome address. Harathi, Principal of the college, presented the Annual Report highlighting the academic achievements, research accomplishments, extension activities and overall progress of the institution during the academic year.
She emphasised the institution’s commitment to academic excellence, innovation and holistic development of students.
The Chief Guest, Archana Ramanakumar, Senior Vice President and Head of Industry Solutions Group and Centre Head, Cognizant Technology Solutions, Chennai, delivered an insightful and inspiring address.
She emphasised the importance of choosing one’s career path with clarity and purpose, highlighting the rapid growth of the IT industry and the need for students to continuously adapt to change.

She spoke about the transformative era of Artificial Intelligence, urging students to embrace change while being mindful of the potential challenges it brings, and to view them as opportunities for growth and innovation.
She also stressed the significance of industry–academia collaboration in bridging the gap between learning and real-world applications, and underscored that clear and effective communication is a vital skill for success in any professional field.
As part of the celebrations, the College Magazine and Newsletters were released, showcasing the creative, academic and research contributions of students and faculty members.

The programme also featured the presentation of Management Awards, recognition of Best Outgoing Students by the Alumni Association, and honours for Best Faculty and Best Department.
The programme concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by Aiko Joyson, President of the Students’ Forum.
