Renowned politician from Coimbatore, R. Gayathri was appointed as a working president of Tamil Nadu Mahila Congress on Tuesday. She is a three-time councillor of Coimbatore Corporation, now serving Ward no.44.
An official order from Alka Lamba, President of All India Mahila Congress stated that in view of the forthcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections and in the interest of strengthening the organizational structure of the Tamil Nadu Mahila Congress, the All India Mahila Congress is appointing R. Gayathri and J.Vathana Nisha as Working Presidents of Tamil Nadu Mahila Congress, with immediate effect.
“In their respective capacities, they will be responsible for strengthening the organization at the state, district, and grassroots levels, coordinating with party office bearers; mobilizing Mahila Congress cadres; and actively contributing to election preparedness and campaign activities across Tamil Nadu,” the order said.
