Vivekananda Institute of Management Studies (VIMS), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Data Pattern, a US-based organisation, on 27th January 2026, marking a significant step towards strengthening industry–academia collaboration.

The MoU aims to create sustained mutual benefits by focusing on expert lectures, structured training programmes, and enhanced placement opportunities, thereby improving students’ industry exposure, practical competencies, and overall employability.

Addressing the gathering, Valarmathi, Principal and CEO of VIMS, expressed her pride in the achievements of the students who have taken up leadership roles at Data Pattern and established themselves as valuable professionals.

She highlighted that such accomplishments reflect the institution’s commitment to quality education and industry-relevant skill development, while also motivating current students to aspire for higher levels of professional excellence.

Stanley Moses, Founder of Data Pattern, announced that as part of the MoU initiatives, a Centre of Excellence will be established at the college.

This centre will provide students with direct access to industry experts, enabling experiential learning through real-time projects, mentoring, and practical exposure.

He further informed that Data Pattern is also willing to set up an incubator to support student startups, encouraging innovation, entrepreneurship, and the translation of ideas into viable business ventures.

This collaboration is expected to create a dynamic ecosystem that nurtures talent, innovation, and industry readiness among the students.
