National Model Senior Secondary School celebrated its 20th Annual Day on 10 January 2025 at the National Model Matriculation School Ground.

Architect Raaghav, Founder of A Plus R Architects, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

Mohan Chandar, Chairman of the National Model Group of Schools, and Uma Mohan Chandar, Secretary, presided over the event.

As part of the school’s 20th anniversary celebrations and as a social welfare initiative, a total educational assistance of ₹95,000 was provided through the BNB Educational Trust to students from government schools in Coimbatore district who had cleared the NEET examination and secured admission to government medical colleges, along with five students admitted to Anna University.

The Chief Guest presented prizes to the students in the presence of the Secretary, Geetha Laxman, Principal, and Lavanya, Vice Principal of the school.

In addition, an amount of ₹1,10,000 collected through the school’s “Ethnic Day” event was donated to the Coimbatore Cancer Foundation.

For the academic year 2025–26, scholarships exceeding ₹10 lakh were awarded to students who demonstrated outstanding performance in academic and sports fields.

During the function, educational scholarships were announced for students excelling in academics and sports.

Certificates of appreciation and medals were presented to students who secured first place at the school level in the CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 public examinations, as well as to 15 students who scored centum in various subjects. Teachers who played a vital role in supporting these achievements were also honoured.

In the field of sports, medals were awarded to more than 20 students who achieved success at the international, national, state, and district levels. A total cash incentive of ₹3,22,000 was presented to the winning students and the teachers who trained them.

Furthermore, the school’s athletics team was awarded a trophy for securing fifth place in the Coimbatore Sahodaya Athletics Meet, which witnessed participation from over 130 schools.

The event concluded with a cultural performance by the students.
