The Rotaract Club of PSGR Krishnammal College for Women, in association with the Coimbatore Cancer Foundation, recently organised a community outreach programme for the families of patients receiving palliative care.
The event brought together more than 170 participants, including the families of over 60 patients.
The programme featured expressive and recreational activities such as dance, music, and art, providing a supportive space for participants to relax, interact, and experience moments of relief amid ongoing challenges. A community lunch was arranged for all attendees.
As part of the initiative, around 100 bedsheets and essential grocery kits were donated, offering practical support to families in need.
The event underscored the importance of compassionate community involvement in palliative care and marked another step in the Club’s efforts to support vulnerable groups in society.
