Amrita Vidyalayam Senior Secondary School, Tiruppur, celebrated Fruits and Vegetables Day on 14th November 2025.
The event aimed to create awareness among students about the importance of healthy eating and including fresh fruits and vegetables in their daily diet.
Dr. Srimathi, Pediatric Dentist, attended the event as the chief guest, and Principal Chitra presided over the programme. Pre-KG students presented a cultural performance, followed by a healthy food and junk food awareness procession by UKG students.

The chief guest spoke about daily dental care practices, after which medals and certificates were distributed to children who had won competitions held last month.
Students explained the nutritional value of various fruits, vegetables and grains. Kindergarten students dressed up as their favourite fruits, vegetables and different types of plants such as climbers, creepers, bushy plants, thorny plants and trees.
They also took part in speeches and skits on topics like plant growth, markets, street vendors, department stores, juice shops, and chat corners, highlighting the benefits of healthy food habits.
Students prepared charts, models and slogans promoting healthy living. The highlight of the event was the preparation of fresh juices and healthy snacks, which the students enjoyed making and tasting.
