The 78th All India Textile Conference is scheduled to be held on 21st and 22nd November 2025 at Hotel Le Meridien, Coimbatore.

This was announced by the Textile Association (India), South India Unit, during a press meeting held today (13th November 2025) at the Cosmopolitan Club, Race Course.

The office bearers who addressed the press included Rajkumar, Chairman of the Conference Committee; Sathyanarayana, President; Ramalingam, Conference Convener; and Sivakumar, Secretary, Coimbatore.

Other office bearers present at the event were Gandhiraj, Vice Chairman; Srinivasagan, Vice President; Kanthimathinatha, Joint Secretary; Maunagurusamy, Treasurer; and committee members Subramaniam and Jayakumar.

The conference will be organised by the association in collaboration with the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists (AATCC) on the theme “Global Textiles: Unearthing Opportunities.”

It was announced that Sanjay Jayavarthanavelu, Chairman and Managing Director, LMW, will be the Chief Guest of the conference. He will present the Industrial Excellence Award to Durai Palanisamy, Executive Director, Pallavaa Group, and Manivannan, Chairman and Managing Director, LS Mills, Theni.

Subramanian, Chairman and Managing Director, KM Knitwear, Tirupur (and TEA Chairman), will release the conference souvenir, which will be received by Rajkumar.

At the inaugural session, Srinivasan of Premier Mills will deliver the keynote address; Sivaraj Prabu, Managing Director, Sivaraj Spinning Mills, will deliver a special address; and Krishnakumar (Kannan), Managing Director, Sulochana Cotton Mills, will offer felicitations.

Around 600 delegates from across India are expected to participate. Leading machinery manufacturers, equipment suppliers, and industrialists will deliberate on the challenges facing the industry and explore potential solutions.

The event will explore key topics such as:

  • Emerging global trends in apparel and textile consumption
  • Technological advancements for cost, waste management, and energy efficiency
  • New opportunities to enhance textile exports through innovative manufacturing methods

The conference will also focus on economic and taxation trends, potential new manufacturing locations, the impact of IT, automation, and robotics in the textile sector, and environmental consciousness and eco-friendly production methods. These topics will be discussed through formal presentations and panel sessions featuring eminent speakers and business leaders from India and abroad.

The speakers shared that around 30% of the textile exports to the United States have been affected due to the recent tariff imposed by the Trump administration. They added that with adequate government support to overcome these challenges, India’s textile sector has the potential to surpass China. The speakers also expressed hope that the tariff issues with the United States would be resolved by December.
