A high-level delegation of 13 members from Coimbatore recently visited Hamamatsu, Japan, where they engaged with leading industries and met the Mayor of Hamamatsu City to explore avenues for collaboration.
In reciprocation of that visit, a two-member delegation from Hamamatsu City, led by Naito Shinjiro, Deputy Mayor, and accompanied by Kitajima Hideaki, Head of Department, has come to Coimbatore.

Regarding their visit, a press meeting was held on 31st October 2025 at KGisl Educational Institute, where the speakers shared the aim of their visit to the city. Ashok Bakthavathsalam, Director of KGiSL Group of Companies & Institutions, was also present at the press meeting.
The visit aims to strengthen business relations between Hamamatsu and Coimbatore, identify bilateral trade and investment opportunities, and promote partnerships in key sectors such as seawater desalination technologies and automotive-related industries, including parts manufacturing and precision engineering.

This exclusive engagement, hosted by Veda Bestin, National Director of Corporate Connections, provided a platform for meaningful interaction between the Hamamatsu delegation and Corporate Connections Coimbatore members, further reinforcing the growing ties between India and Japan.
