The Indian Para Cricket League (IPCL) 2.0, organised by the Rotaract Club of Coimbatore Gaalaxy in Coimbatore, concluded its 3-day game with a valedictory celebration on 7th September 2025.

This year’s league gathered 60+ para-athletes from across India, representing states including Jammu & Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand, Tamil Nadu, and many others.

The valedictory ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest, Pavankumar Giriyappanavar, District Collector, Coimbatore. He felicitated the winners and runners with trophies and certificates, and in his address, applauded the courage of the athletes while emphasising the role of inclusive platforms in building a just society.

The Guest of Honour, Rtn. Srinivasan, IFCR Chairman (2025–27) from the Rotary Club of Coimbatore Heritage, highlighted how sports are a language that unites beyond barriers.

The IPCL 2.0 was supported by the Rotaract Clubs of Coimbatore Cosmopolitan, Coimbatore Smartcity, Coimbatore Unique, HICAS, Karpagam Academy of Higher Education, and Tamil Nadu Agricultural University.

The league was led by Rtr. Jaya Kishore, Event Chair, Rtr. Sriee Aswanth, Event Secretary, Rtr. Mitun, Event Convenor, and Rtr. Janani, Treasurer.

They were guided by Rtn. PHF Venkatesh, Event Advisor, while Rtr. Srivarshan, President of the host club, provided leadership and vision to bring the championship together.

The Special Invitees, including Rtn. PHF Venkatesh, President of Rotary Club of Coimbatore Gaalaxy; Rtn. Vijay Krishnan from Rotary Club of Coimbatore East; Rtn. Rajasekhar from Rotary Club of Coimbatore South; and Rtr. Gogul, District Rotaract Representative (DRR), graced the event.

Many players expressed that this championship was life-changing, giving them confidence, visibility, and the belief that their talent can take them far. Several of them now look forward to brighter futures with potential government and corporate recognition that can transform their livelihood and social standing.

IPCL 2.0 Finals: Rotary Downtown Tigers Mumbai Clinch Title

In an exciting finale of IPCL 2.0, Rotary Downtown Tigers Mumbai emerged victorious, defeating Kolkata Thunder Warriors by 6 wickets.
