The Rotaract Club of Coimbatore recently introduced “PawGlow”, a community initiative under the Avenue of International Service, in collaboration with The Pawsome People Project, an NGO dedicated to animal welfare.
The project focuses on safeguarding street dogs by fitting them with reflective safety collars to reduce nighttime accidents. Rotaractors and volunteers will raise awareness, fund and procure collars, and assist in their safe fitting under expert guidance.
In addition, The Pawsome People Project team conducted an awareness session for Rotaract members on essential aspects of street dog welfare, including how to identify whether dogs are sterilised or vaccinated, and the right way to handle them safely and compassionately.
