PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research (PSG iTech), in association with SAP Labs India, hosted the fourth edition of Hackfest on 7th August 2025.
This year’s event saw 26,490 students from 104 colleges across 16 states in India. After a rigorous multi-round selection process, 78 teams were shortlisted from an initial pool of 5,298 to compete in the final round and showcase their prototypes. The participants were competing for a prize pool of Rs 5 Lakhs.
Milesh, Vice President and Head of Strategy & Operations at SAP Labs India, and Satish Patnaik, Global Head of SAP Alliances and Partnerships at Tech Mahindra, were the chief guests.
Following the intense competition, the valedictory ceremony commenced with a welcome address delivered by Vijayakumar, Dean of the college. Saravanakumar, Principal, delivered the keynote address.
Milesh highlighted how evolving technology, driven by SAP’s mission and vision of sustainability and inclusivity, empowers humanity, illustrating how computers now learn human languages and inspiring students to adapt to the fast-changing tech landscape.
Satish Patnaik inspired students by highlighting the vital role of strategic partnerships and innovation in the global digital economy, celebrating India’s growing economic stature while encouraging students to embrace values like integrity, customer focus, entrepreneurship, and teamwork to thrive in their careers.

A highlight of the event was the felicitation of the top three teams for their exceptional performance. The first prize was won by the Team Compile Conquer from Manipal Institute of Technology.
The second prize went to Team Mohanalakshmi from PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research. The third prize was secured by the Team TINT RandomDevs from Techno International NewTown, West Bengal.
