The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Dr. N.G.P. Institute of Technology (NGP iTech), Coimbatore, proudly hosted the landmark event “Unveiling HUNTER EV 2.0” on 16th July 2025.
It was organised under the student innovation initiative Axeltron e-Mobility, and attracted an enthusiastic audience of students, faculty, and industry professionals.
The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Nalla G. Palaniswami, Chairman of KMCH; Dr. Thavamani D. Palaniswami, Secretary of NGP iTech; and Mathura V. Palaniswami, Trustee of Dr. NGP Research and Educational Trust.
Buvaneshwaran, Chief Executive Officer of the trust; Natesan, Chief Operating Officer; Muthusamy, Director of Academics at Dr. N.G.P. Educational Institutions; Sambasivam, Administrative Officer of NGP iTech; and Prabha, Principal, were also present.
The event was led by Sreebalaji, Professor & Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, who served as the faculty mentor guiding the student team throughout the project.
The “HUNTER EV 2.0” is an electric vehicle fully conceived, designed, and fabricated by the students of Mechanical Engineering. The project demonstrated their ability to apply technical knowledge, innovation, and teamwork in developing a sustainable mobility solution.
At the event, it was announced that the Hunter EV 2.0 has been purchased by CIRCOR Flow Technologies India, Coimbatore, showcasing the successful commercial application of a student-developed innovation.
