For the past 22 years, Siruthuli has been committed to environmental and ecological conservation through various initiatives aimed at making the region greener and more sustainable.
Since 2019, in partnership with HCL Foundation and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Siruthuli has planted over 53,500 native tree saplings, transforming once rocky landscapes into thriving nature reserves. These efforts have significantly enhanced green cover and contributed to groundwater recharge in the region.
On the occasion of the 49th HCL Annual Day, celebrated on 11th August 2025, the three organizations joined hands once again to plant 5,000 saplings in Coimbatore, as part of a nationwide initiative targeting the plantation of 49,000 saplings across India.
The event was graced by Shish Ram, Deputy Commandant, CRPF; Simi Suri, Associate Director; Sugandha and Shyam Sundar from HCLFoundation; Chandrasekhar, Steering Committee Member, Siruthuli; along with members of the Siruthuli team.
More than 240 enthusiastic college students from SNS College of Technology, PSGR Krishnammal College for Women, and CMS College of Science and Commerce actively participated, demonstrating their commitment to environmental care and sustainability.
This plantation drive represents a significant step toward restoring biodiversity, improving groundwater levels, and strengthening ecological resilience. It also highlights the importance of community involvement in environmental stewardship. Through such collaborative efforts, Siruthuli continues its journey toward a greener and more sustainable future.
