The 13th National and Annual Conference of Pediatric Urology is currently underway in Coimbatore, hosted by the Coimbatore Chapter of Pediatric Surgeons from 12th to 14th September 2025 at PSG Hospitals.
Held under the theme “Pediatric Urology 360° – Foundations to Future Innovations,” the conference was inaugurated on 12th September 2025 and is being organised under the aegis of the Society of Pediatric Urology – Section of the Indian Association of Pediatric Surgeons (IAPS).
More than 250 pediatric surgeons and pediatric urologists from across India and abroad are participating in the event.
The three-day conference features a live operative surgical workshop, showcasing robotic, laparoscopic, and open pediatric urological techniques.
In addition, plenary sessions and symposia are addressing complex pediatric conditions such as Disorders of Sexual Differentiation (DSD), Bladder Exstrophy, Spina Bifida, Posterior Urethral Valves, and Pediatric Stone Disease.
The Young Surgeons’ Forum is actively engaging trainees through paper presentations, quizzes, and interactive academic contests, fostering learning and encouraging innovation among emerging professionals.
Speaking about the event, Organising Chairpersons Dr. Rajamani and Dr. Pavai stated, “SPUCON 2025 is a unique opportunity to blend experience with innovation, ensuring better outcomes for children who require surgical care.”
Dr. Dharmendra and Dr. Srinivasan added that the Coimbatore Chapter of Pediatric Surgeons and the Society of Pediatric Urology (IAPS) have worked tirelessly over the past year to ensure the event’s success.
The conference aims to strengthen collaborations, promote research, and set new benchmarks in pediatric urology, ultimately enhancing the quality of surgical care for children across the country.
