The Park Young Innovator Summit 2024 award ceremony was held at Park College of Engineering and Technology, Kaniyur Campus on 29th November 2024.
The summit aimed to encourage school students from grades 6 to 12 to present innovative ideas under themes including, Medical Technology, Aero/Space Technology, Women’s Technology and Green Technology.
The event featured a display of 104 creative scientific projects by 480 students representing 43 private and government schools across Tamil Nadu.
Prince, Director of Employment and Innovations, Park Group of Institutions, delivered the welcome address. Sathishkumar, General Manager of the Institutions, and Lakshmanan, Principal of Park College of Engineering and Technology, gave congratulatory messages to the participants.
Three students from participating schools shared their experiences and insights about the summit and the inspiring environment of Park College of Engineering and Technology.
Anusha Ravi, CEO of Park Group of Institutions, presided over the event. She began her keynote speech with a powerful Bharathiar poem, warmly welcomed the students, and shared her personal experiences from visiting various competition venues.
She commended the students for their innovative projects and emphasized the significance of fostering creative thinking and leadership skills for a successful future. She also highlighted the success stories of Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos to inspire students to pursue entrepreneurship.
Muthukumar, Deputy General Manager of CRI Pumps, Coimbatore, and an alumnus of the college encouraged the participants to embrace challenges, stay curious, and remember that no idea is too small—every invention starts with a spark of imagination.
Wing Commander Thyagasundaram, Counter-Intelligence Officer at Sulur Air Base and an alumnus of Tamil Nadu College of Engineering, delivered an inspiring speech, motivating the participants to strive for excellence. He congratulated the winners of the summit.
The summit was inaugurated earlier on October 15, 2024, commemorating Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam’s birth anniversary.
