CMS College of Science and Commerce, Coimbatore, celebrated the harvest festival- Pongal on January 12 and 13, 2026, at the college premises.
The two-day celebration commenced with rangoli and traditional competitions, featuring student participation.
The celebrations continued with “Vaadivaasal 2026 – Spirit of Pongal,” organised by the students. The campus was decorated with floral arrangements, and Jamab performances marked the occasion. Students presented cultural programmes reflecting the traditions associated with Pongal.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by Vimalanand, Principal. Sajiesh Kumar, Vice-Chairman, CMS Educational and Charitable Trust, delivered the Presidential Address. The event was attended by Gereesan, Chairman, CMS Educational and Charitable Trust; Sasidharan, Joint Secretary; Sandhya Menon, CEO, CMS Group of Institutions; and other members of the institution.
The celebration promoted cultural awareness and participation, making the Pongal event a significant occasion for the college community.
