The Rotaract Club of GCT Coimbatore recently organised a menstrual hygiene awareness event titled “Flowrish” at Lavender Residency, Coimbatore.
Over 20 residents of the residency attended the session. Rtr. Vidyasri, club member, spoke about the importance of menstrual hygiene and addressed taboos surrounding menstruation.
The club also donated 40+ organic cotton sanitary pads to the residents. Additionally, they raised awareness about the harmful effects of sanitary pads, if it is used for long period of time.
Through this initiative, the club made a meaningful impact by empowering women with knowledge about menstrual health and helping them feel confident and proud of their bodies and natural cycles.
