For the first time in Tamil Nadu, the Department of Visual Communication, Rathinam College of Arts and Science (RCAS) inaugurated the “Film Incubation Center” recently.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by special guests including U.K. Senthil Kumar, Cinematographer; Parthiban Desingu, Director; Mathampatti Rangaraj, Actor & Producer, Aari Arjunan, Actor and S. Aravindan, Founder and Producer of Cluster Media College.
The special guests spoke about the impact of the film industry on the public, the importance of students learning the nuances of cinema, and the necessity of integrating arts with education.
Dr. Madan A. Senthil, Chairman of Rathinam Educational Institutions, highlighted the objective of the Film Incubation Center to select high-quality stories and facilitate film production, encouraging collaboration among aspiring filmmakers and directors.
Dr. R. Manickam, Secretary and Principal Executive Officer of Rathinam Educational Institutions, delivered his congratulatory address, while Dr. S. Balasubramanian, Principal of the college, welcomed the gathering.
Dr. S.N. Suresh, Vice Principal and Dean of Sciences, delivered the vote of thanks. SadishKumar, director of the Film Incubation Center, explained the purpose of establishing the centre. V. Satish Anandan, Head of the Department of Visual Communication, along with faculty members and students, participated in the event.
