Nirmala College for Women organised a National Seminar on “Smart Research Practices: AI, Online Tools & Zotero for Academicians” in hybrid mode recently.
The event, jointly hosted by the Department of Library and Information Science and IQAC.
The event was held under the patronage of Rev. Sr. Kulandai Therese, Secretary and Rev. Sr. Mary Fabiola, Principal of the college.

Rev. Fr. John Neelankavil CMI, Associate Chief Librarian at AIMS and Amala & Athenaeum Librarian, DVK, Bangalore, delivered the keynote address on AI in research, while Ramasamy, Librarian at M. V. Muthaiah Government College of Arts for Women, Dindigul, conducted a hands-on Zotero session.
Scholars from across India participated in the seminar, which emphasized digital literacy, ethical research, and the effective use of AI tools.
