The Student Development Cell of Dr. N.G.P Institute of Technology (NGPiTECH) marked a significant occasion on 14th August 2024 with the celebration of the Student Council Investiture Ceremony, the inauguration of new student clubs, and the launch of the YI-YUVA chapter.
The event was a testament to the institution’s commitment to fostering student leadership and engagement.
The ceremony was honoured by the presence of distinguished chief guests Vishnu BG, Talent Intelligence Expert and Chairperson of the YI-YUVA Coimbatore Chapter and Balaji Easwaramurthy, Director of Torqon Power Drives Pvt. Ltd. and Core Team Member YI-YUVA Coimbatore Chapter.
Their involvement added a notable dimension to the proceedings, underscoring the event’s significance.
The traditional lighting of the lamp ceremony followed, symbolizing the dispelling of darkness and the ushering in knowledge and enlightenment.
The ceremony was formally opened with a welcome address by Anushree Srinivasan, Vice President of the Student Council, who extended a warm welcome to all attendees and set a positive tone for the event.
Dr. Thavamani D. Palaniswami, Secretary of NGPiTECH, delivered the Presidential Address, highlighting the importance of student leadership and the role of the newly appointed council members. Her address was inspiring and motivational, emphasizing the value of active student participation in shaping the future of the institute.
Following the Presidential Address, Dr. P.R. Muthusamy, Director of Academics of the institution and Dr. S. U. Prabha, Principal delivered the Felicitation Address, acknowledging the achievements of the outgoing council members and offering encouragement to the new inductees.
Their words resonated with the spirit of encouragement and support for student development.
The event was further graced by the esteemed presence of Mathura V. Palaniswami, Director of Dr. NGP Research and Educational Trust, who added her valuable insights and support to the celebration.
The Chief Guest Address was delivered by Vishnu BG, Talent Intelligence Expert and Chair of the YI-YUVA Coimbatore Chapter. His address was both motivational and forward-looking, focusing on the potential of the YI-YUVA initiative to empower young minds and foster their growth.
