The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) will organise its 63rd National Cost and Management Accountants’ Convention (NCMAC) 2026 from 9 to 11 January 2026 at Hotel Merlis, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.

This was announced at a press meeting held on 8 January 2025 at Gokulam Park, Coimbatore.

ICMAI is statutory body established under an Act of Parliament and functioning under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India.

Recognised as the Institute’s most prestigious annual professional event, NCMAC 2026 will bring together policymakers, senior government officials, industry leaders, global professionals, academicians and students to deliberate on the evolving role of Cost and Management Accountants (CMAs) in India’s economic and industrial transformation towards Viksit Bharat 2047.

NCMAC 2026 will be organised on the theme “RISE India – Reposition India and CMAs, Intensify Growth, Strengthen Competence & Enhance Capabilities”, aligning closely with India’s vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. The theme highlights the growing strategic relevance of CMAs in strengthening cost competitiveness, driving productivity, ensuring sustainability, enabling ESG adoption and supporting data-driven decision-making across manufacturing and service sectors.

The three-day convention will feature inaugural and plenary sessions, technical sessions and a CMA Leaders’ Meet, structured around four thematic tracks: Repositioning India and CMAs; Intensifying Growth of the Profession; Strengthening Competence and Capability; and Enhancing Capabilities for Manufacturing and Service Leadership.

NCMAC 2026 will have an eminent line-up of speakers, including senior leaders from public sector enterprises such as Coal India Limited, BHEL and Airports Authority of India; private sector organisations including the Tata Group, Novartis India, Cummins India and Oracle; policy institutions like IIM Ahmedabad; and leading consulting firms such as Deloitte India.

Thought leaders and domain experts will share insights on strategy, governance, cost management, digital transformation, sustainability, ESG, manufacturing excellence, Industry 5.0, global consulting ecosystems and emerging technologies, offering participants an opportunity to engage with influential voices shaping India’s economic future.

The convention is expected to be attended by over 800 delegates from the corporate sector, industry associations, government departments, regulatory bodies, financial institutions, CMA professional practice and other professional bodies. The proceedings of NCMAC 2026 will be live-streamed to reach the entire CMA fraternity, CMA students and professionals across the globe.
