The Department of Computer Science with Cognitive Systems & AIML Hindusthan College of Arts and Science (HICAS) hosted HIBOT, an exciting Intercollegiate Technical Symposium, recently.
Dr. A. Ponnusamy, Principal delivered Presidential Address. Dr. S. Sasikala, Professor & Head of the Department of Computer Science with Cognitive Systems & AIML welcomed the attendees and presented the Department Highlights, emphasizing the significance of integrating technology with practical applications.
The primary focus of HIBOT was to explore the transformative impact of drone technology on modern agriculture. The event highlighted how drones can assist farmers in making real-time decisions through data collection and analysis. Attendees learned about drones’ applications in crop assessment, nutrient and insecticide spraying, digitizing land records, and automating soil quality monitoring. The symposium also addressed the benefits of using drones in managing remote or inaccessible agricultural areas.
HIBOT successfully fostered a vibrant exchange of ideas and innovations, reflecting the dynamic and evolving nature of technology.
