In aid of children with heart defects and childhood cancers, G. Kuppuswamy Naidu Memorial Hospital (GKNMH) organised the third edition of its annual marathon titled ‘Run for Little Hearts 2025’ at Mani Higher Secondary School, Papanaickenpalayam, on 28th September 2025.
The marathon was flagged off by the Chief Guest, Gokulakrishnan, Assistant Commissioner (Traffic), Coimbatore, in the presence of Dr. Ragupathy Veluswamy, CEO of the hospital.
The event featured four categories: 1 km, 3 km, 5 km, and 10 km runs. Participants included people of all age groups, ranging from children to senior citizens. Doctors and hospital officials also actively participated in the marathon.
Cash prizes were awarded to winners in the 5-km and 10-km race categories.
All the proceeds from the marathon will directly support the treatment of children battling cancer and congenital heart conditions.
